About The Book
This book reflects Darlene Lorraine Gibson’s transformative journey through faith and education. At 42, she returned to school during a challenging period in her life, despite having been a shy, average student in her youth. She began with a remedial program before earning her associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees overcoming obstacles such as failed courses, program changes and setbacks along the way, Through perseverance and God’s grace, she maintained a strong academic record. A section of this book, The Heart of Me, was written in 2008 but is only now being published, symbolizing God’s timing and spiritual completion. Despite the trials she faced, Darlene sees her journey as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and hopes her story will inspire others to pursue their own paths with courage, faith, and hope.
