Dr. John Agmada Bawa

Dr. John Agmada Bawa is a man whose life reflects dedication, leadership, and a deep commitment to service. A devoted husband to his wife, Dorothy, and a proud father to their three children Forty, Seven, and Three Dr. Bawa balances family life with an inspiring professional and humanitarian journey. For more than 27 years, he has worked closely with children, teenagers, and young people, gaining profound insight into their mental, emotional, psychological, and spiritual development. His experience culminated in his role as a superintendent for three years, where he further strengthened his understanding of youth development and mentorship, helping shape the lives of countless young individuals.

Academically, Dr. Bawa’s achievements demonstrate both excellence and perseverance. He earned a Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) in Architecture with Second Class Upper Honors, followed by a Master of Technology (M-Tech) with distinction, and later a PhD in Architecture in 2024. His educational journey also includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), reflecting his passion for combining technical expertise with strategic leadership. Currently, he is pursuing a second PhD in Environmental Resource Management. Professionally, Dr. Bawa is a registered architect with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria and an active member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Institute of Architects, the Building Collapse Prevention Guild, the Green Building Council of Nigeria, and the Project Management Institute, among others.

Beyond his professional career, Dr. Bawa is deeply passionate about leadership, community service, and knowledge sharing. His leadership journey began early in life when he held several leadership positions during his school years and later became the president of his local association at the university level. His desire to contribute to good governance led him to contest for positions in the State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives in 2011, 2015, and 2019. As a humanitarian, he leads two NGOs the Society for the Alleviation of Rural Poverty and Integration of Peaceful Coexistence (SARPIC) and the Books of Many Colours Foundation (BooMac) through which he actively serves communities. A prolific writer and academic, Dr. Bawa has authored and co-authored multiple books and over 40 scholarly publications. Currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Baze University, Abuja, he continues to inspire others not only through teaching and writing but also through his love for chess, table tennis, reading, and spending meaningful time with his family.
