A dedicated author, pastor, evangelist, and missionary with a ministry career spanning over 50 years and six continents. A native Texan, Dr. Lukas holds a BBA, MA, and Ph.D., which have equipped him to serve in diverse roles, including pastor, church planter, teacher, and international speaker. Ordained in 1976, Dr. Lukas began as an associate pastor of a 300-member church before planting a 40 year old church in San Francisco. He has also served as an interim pastor and chaplain, including his role as Chaplain of Broadway in San Francisco’s North Beach. His teaching ministry included teaching and directing a Missionary Training College in London and serving as a visiting professor at one of the largest seminaries in the U.S. As an evangelist, Dr. Lukas has personally distributed nearly a million gospel tracts to people from at least 168 nations and preached without amplification to more than 767,000 individuals in countries such as Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. He has also visited over 20,000 homes, training others in evangelism and sharing the Gospel. Dr. Lukas’s missionary work includes leading the “Piccadilly Preachers” at London’s Piccadilly Circus, where they reached out to over a million people. Though retired from full-time ministry, he continues short-term trips to countries like Iceland, Brazil, and Turkey, as well as the Pacific Islands and Caribbean. A prolific author, Dr. Lukas has written five books, including Under the Southern Cross & Beyond and The Great Commission Toolbox. His works reflect his passion for evangelism and storytelling and are available worldwide. Today, Dr. Lukas continues to inspire through writing, teaching, and encouraging others in their Christian faith.
