Born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada, to Dutch immigrant parents who survived the Holocaust, Henry has lived the majority of his life in Alberta. He received his primary and secondary education in Rocky Mountain House before briefly attending the University of Alberta.
Since completing his studies, Henry has owned and operated various businesses and earned numerous diplomas and accreditations in the business field. His diverse professional background includes serving as a Safety Security Coordinator and Private Investigator, as well as running a landscaping and lawn maintenance business in Leduc.
Henry currently resides in Leduc, Alberta; he is married and the father of three sons. He remains active in his local church as both a teacher and an elder. Over the years, he has served as an editor and writer for a number of local newsletters and has been published in several regional newspapers. His poetry also appears in various Canadian poetry anthologies.
